This has created confusion for macOS users, as they are never entirely clear if their files are syncing or not and have to constantly check it manually. When there is no internet connection, this icon should turn gray, yet it does so consistently even when there is working internet on the device. Is it a bug or a part of the new design of Dropbox? But I have just recognized that the Dropbox icon in the Menu Bar is greyed out as can be seen from the screenshot I’ve added below. I do have an Internet connection and Dropbox services work just fine. Dropbox icon in menu bar on all my Macs (Monterey and older) is grey for some weeks now but there are no connectivity problems whatsoever…any ideas? It looks like a visual bug, as the software continues to work as intended. Lately, Dropbox users on macOS have been facing a bug where the connection icon is grayed out ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
